In day 27 of my #31dayphotochallenge I took this picture of a freshwater Angelfish with my #GooglePixel as usual and edited with Adobe Photoshop CC for mobile devices. In another life I might have even gone as far as becoming a marine biologist. But taking care of fish in the comfort of my home will just have to do for now.
I took this picture at a local pet store where I was checking out their new fishy selections. My oh my do they have selections. But while I walked from fish tank to fish tank, it reminded me about one of the reasons people take care of fish in their own homes in the first place. It's a lot of work for such a cheap plentiful pet. That is unless you are the rare kind that host man sized albino sharks and other rare marine life in your football stadium sized aquariums. Regardless of the size of your tank, for most of us we buy and maintain fish tanks for the peace that they give us in watching life go on in the environment you created for these lifeforms that (unbeknownst to them) are totally dependent on us to live.
As the new year comes hurling towards us and the remaining days of this year are drifting away like the ocean tides. Treat the ones that are closest to you with the love and respect they deserve and the peace that you so long for will not only be plentiful but will overflow. Like the golden rule (do to others as you would like to be done to you), a smile and a warm hug will go a long way but if it's done in true sincerity it would mean the world to someone that was truly in need.
